Rema Holley Cason, 97, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with Rev. Randy Kesler officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM, on Friday, at the funeral home.
Ms. Cason was born April 23, 1906 in Decatur County, Georgia to the late Robert R. and Connie Harrell Dollar and is also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Newton Holley, four sons and one grandson. Ms. Cason lived in the community most of her life. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills and a former Dormitory House Mother in Atlanta.
Survivors include: one daughter: Juanita H. McLamb, Fitzgerald; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; one sister: Irene Freeman, Fitzgerald.
