Barbara L. (Endicott) Cooney of Somerville on December 17, 2010 at age 97. A Child of God and wife of the late James J. Cooney, Sr. Daughter of the late John and Bridget (Griffin) Endicott. Cherished mother of Barbara Dion of Somerville, Rosemary Gauthier of Sanbornton, NH, James J. Cooney, Jr. of Nashua, NH, John E. Cooney of Las Vegas, NV, Richard W. Cooney of Medford and Lorraine McNamara of Northfield, NH. Also survive by 32 grandghildren, 72 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Somerville on Wednesday at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Church, Union Square at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers it was Barbara’a wishes that donations in her memory be made to St. Joseph Parish, 264 Washington St., Somerville, MA 02143 or your favorite charity. Barbara was a communicant at St. Joseph’s Church and a member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, Post 4, Somerville. Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
