Dr. Eric Wayne Cash, 47, of Tifton, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends after the service in the parish hall.
Dr. Cash was born on November 27, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the faculty advisor for ABAC’s student newspaper, “The Stallion”, and professor of Journalism and English. He graduated from Pleasure Ridge High School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1981, earned a B.A. degree from Eastern Kentucky University, a master’s degree and an Education Specialist degree from Morehead State, and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Mississippi. He was the editor of “The Undying Fire”, the Journal of the H.G. Wells Society, the Americas. He was a member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton.
Dr. Cash is survived by his wife, Erin Campbell; daughter, Elizabeth Cash; son, Eliot Cash, all of Tifton; his mother, Erika Gosser; brother and sister-in-law, Cris and Janice Cash; nephew, Nik Cash; and niece, Chelsea Cash, all of Louisville, Kentucky.
