Decker, Shelt Robert “Bob” peacefully joined his wife, Jessie Decker in Heaven on Friday, December 17, 2010.
Bob was retired from Boilermaker Local 40. He worked at Shively Welding and Boiler Repair, Dixie Boiler Repair, and Merrick Construction. He was a member of Shawnee Lodge #830 for over 50 years and a 32nd Degree Mason. Bob was a loyal member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving children, Shelt ”Bob” Decker, Jr. (Pat), Larry Decker (Joy), Scharlene Ridge (Billy), Steve Decker (Dallene), and Jeff Decker (Laurie); grandchildren, Wayne, Jessica (Jonathan), Becky (Rashad), Marty, Russell, Matthew (Sara), and Michael (Angela); great grandchildren, Anthony, Zachary, Soleil, Caitlyn, Brayden, Zander, Kyle, Michaela, Gabriel, Kagan, Devin, and Ava; sisters, Sylvia Decker and Jean Bates; and brothers, Carl, Chester, and Nathan Decker.
Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 4-8, Monday 10-8, and Tuesday from 10 until the service at 1.
