Methuen, MA- Raymond L. St. Onge, 72, beloved husband of Janet, died peacefully, after a courageous year long battle with cancer, Friday December 17th at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 8th 1938 in Haverhill, Raymond was the son of Albert L. and Mary M. (DeRoche) St. Onge. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Ray then went on and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Merrimack College.
For 36 years, Ray worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Raytheon in Andover and took great pride in doing a job he loved so dearly.
What he loved most in life were his family, good food, riding his Harley, working out at the gym, and always taking pictures. He was his family’s hero, and role model and always will be.
Ray was the beloved husband of Janet (Fitzpatrick), with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. His loving memory will live on in the hearts of his 3 children, Annette Nirenberg and her husband Peter of Millburn, NJ, Michael St. Onge and his wife Jo Elaine of Erie, PA, and Lisa St. Onge of Tampa, FL, as well as 4 grandchildren that brought him great joy, Nicole, Tyler, Jack and Rita. He will also be sadly missed by his 3 siblings, Connie Lemieux- Carlozon and her husband Tom of Methuen, Claire Langlais and her husband Don of Haverhill, and Barry St. Onge and his wife Liz of Methuen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, December 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning, December 23rd at 11 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to make a donation in Raymond's name to a charity of their choice.
