Steven Mozsenko age 72 of Salem, NH died suddenly, yet peacefully on December 13, 2010 in his home.
He was born on August 9, 1938 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Edward and Anastazyia (Dainowski) Mozsenko. Steve served in the US Navy. He retired from Digital Equipment Corp. in Nashua where he was a supervisor in the shipping department.
Steve was a parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Windham, NH. As is consistent with his Christian beliefs, he was known by his friends for his many humble and unassuming acts of kindness and generosity.
Steve was an avid gardener who took particular pride in his extensive vegetable garden as well as his many rows of blueberry bushes and strawberry plants. He was also known for spreading much joy through his thoughtful distribution of his prize mini pumpkins – both white ghost and orange varieties. It was quite common for Steve to appear on the doorstep of a friend, bearing gifts of the tangible fruits of his garden driven “labor of love”. He also enjoyed woodworking, basket weaving, caning and the art of stained glass window making.
Steve was predeceased by his only sibling, a sister, Marion (Mozsenko) McKinney.
He is survived by his niece Victoria McKinney-Vareschi, grandnephews and niece Mark J. Vareschi, Anastazyia M. Vareschi and Gabriel M. Vareschi. Also surviving him was his close friend and uncle “Jack” Berube as well his life long friend Gary Hamilton and his wife Joann.
