NEW BEDFORD…Raymond Earl Hardy, 78, of Fall River passed away Wednesday December 15, 2010. He was the son of the late William and the late Zetta (Tillson) Hardy. He was the husband of Helen (Czmyr) Hardy. He was in the U.S. Army for 7 years. He served in the Korean war, stationed in Hawaii before it was a state. He worked at Cranston Print Works, General Electric both in Cranston RI and he also worked in the finishing department at Globe MFG for 18 years. He enjoyed duckpin bowling at the Walko Lanes, dancing, and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of Post 405 American Legion in Raynham and former communicant of St. Williams Church now Holy Trinity Church. Survivors include his wife, 4 sisters: Mary Liberty of Smithfield RI, Miriam Larson of Foster RI, Ruth Baumann of Greenville RI, Elsie Sabatoni of Cranston RI, 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Susan H. Wood. He was the brother of the late Horace, the late William Hardy, and the late Shirley Tuirok. Services to which relatives and friends are invited to will be Sunday at 3PM at BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 709 Broadway Fall River MA. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5pm.
