Bonnie Sue Hancock Hege, 67, born on May 3, 1943 in Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Bonnie suffered the past seven years from Lewy Body Dementia (a rare form of dementia).Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Eugene Hancock and Pat Bishop Hancock.She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Grady Hege of Pfafftown; their children, Tammy Wall and husband Wes of Bermuda Run, Kim Wall and Will of Advance, and Mike Hege and Nicole of Pilot Mountain. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Brittany, Richard, Bailey, Abigail, Brooke and Taylor; three great grandchildren, Emily, Haylee and Charlotte; brothers, Larry E. Hancock and wife Janet of Bermuda Run, Michael G. Hancock and wife Nettie of Clearwater, FL; and sister, Cathy H. Kirkland and husband Jack of Huntersville.
Bonnie retired in May 2004 from her family business, H&M Motors, located in Pilot Mountain. Upon retirement, Bonnie enjoyed spending time at the lake with her family.
Bonnie was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church of Lewisville along with her husband Grady. She was a lovely, spontaneously witty person who loved life and all the people she encountered.Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Temple Baptist Church of Lewisville with the Rev. Bud Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
