Emma K. Farley

...long time Tewksbury resident; 93

TEWKSBURY - Emma K. (McKean) Farley, 93, the matriach of a well known Tewksburyfamily, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Wentworth Skilled Care Center in Lowell after a briefillness. She was the wife of the late James S. Farley, who died in 1970.

She was born in Lowell, Dec. 12, 1910, a daughter of the late Duncan and Jennie (Sweeney)McKeaan. She was raised in Lowell, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1937.

In the 1940's and 50's she and her late husband operated the Tewksbury Bakery on Main Street.Later she worked at the cafeteria of the Foster School and later the Memorial High School.

She was a member of St. William’s Parish in Tewksbury.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Barbara (Dunn) Farley ofTewksbury, John D. “Jack” and Charlene (Solomon) Farley of Tewksbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Bruce Campbell of Tewksbury;, 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren;and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late Mary Daly, Margaret McCluskey, James McKean, ThomasMcKean, Joseph McKean, and David McKean.

Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Dec. 27, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
