Irene C. Rapoza, age 88, of Fall River passed away December 14, 2010. She was the wife of the late John J. Rapoza and daughter of the late Antonio R. and Mary D. (Medeiros) Costa. Irene was a lifelong Fall River resident and a Zipper Setter for Rondo Knit Mfg. She was a member of I.L.G.W.U., Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, and Holy Trinity Church.
Irene was mother of Melvin J. Rapoza of Fall River and John M. Rapoza and wife Janet of Somerset. She was the sister of Deolinda Pontiff of Swansea and Hilda Silvia of Tiverton, grandmother of Kimberly, Jennifer and Joshua, and great grandmother of Grace, Sam, Aiden, & Mason.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River FRIDAY at 8:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. There Are No Separate Calling Hours.
