Gordon L. Clark, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2003 at Bethel Baptist Church in Ocilla, with Rev. Tracy Clements and Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Irwin County. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark was born August 2, 1925, in Swanton, Vermont to the late Herman J. and Rose Hoague Clark. He lived in Irwin County for the past 40 years and was a former resident of Lynn, MA. Mr. Clark retired from the United States Navy and was a self-employed electrician and plumber. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ocilla.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Harper Clark, Ocilla; one daughter: Barbara Sue Hissong, New Port Richey, FL; three sons: Larry, Donnie and Lee Clark, all of Ocilla; one sister: Betty Werner, New Port Richey, FL; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
