Helen A. (Pressey) Clark died December 12th in Largo, Pinellas County, FL.
The 94 year old was born May 1, 1916 to the late John Friend Pressey and Stella Tenney (Withington) Pressey.
Helen was the wife of the late Francis Earle Clark. In 1946 the couple settled in Marlboro, MA where they started Clark Crystal Co and manufactured quartz crystals. They traveled extensively both for work and for pleasure during those years.
Upon retiring, they moved to Mattapoisett, MA where they spent time searching for ancestors in the New England area. They were active members of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church there for 25 years or more. The couple later settled in FL where they joined the Church of the Isles in Largo. They were both devoted to their children, their 8 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.
Helen was unusually creative--she loved to cook, sew, write, decorate and tend flowers. She was well-loved and extremely generous with her time, talents and resources.
She leaves a son, Stephen Earle Clark of Edina MN and two daughters, Susan Stern of Largo, FL and Shirlee Neil of Southbury, CT.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy (Pressey) Chase.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church on Friday, December 17th at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Cushing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a favorite charity.
