Mr. Dock Coolidge Beck, age 86, of Siloam passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Dunmore Plantation. He was born on November 27, 1924 in Surry County to the late John Henry and Nellie Virginia O’Neal Beck. Mr. Beck was a farmer.Mr. Beck is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Hattie Mae Crissman Beck, of the home, two daughters, Judy (Benton) Gillespie, of Dobson, Joyce (Wade) Key, of Siloam, two sons, Roger (Claudine) Beck, of Siloam, and Jimmy (Deana) Beck, of Siloam, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and one sister, Mary Ruth (John) Arnder, of Mt. Airy. Mr. Beck was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Sue Beck, one son, Benny Ray Beck, his parents, and twenty sisters, and brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Pine Hill Friends Meeting at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Michael Thames and Rev. Jeff Wall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Hill Friends Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Johnny Bruner, 638 Eldora Rd.
