METHUEN – Barbara A. (Blouin) Caron 84 of Methuen died Saturday December 11, 2010 at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover, MA.
Born and educated in Methuen the daughter of Wilfred and Emily (Hines) Blouin, she was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School Class of 1943 and the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. For 38 years she was a registered nurse at Lawrence General Hospital in the nursery. She was a parishioner of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, a member of the Lawrence General Hospital Alumni Association, and the reunion committee for the Edward F. Searles High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and nana. She enjoyed vacationing at Salisbury Beach and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 61 years Alfred A. “Buddy” Caron of Methuen, MA. Children J. Michael Caron and his wife Ellen of Key west, FL, Christine D’Agostino and her husband Matthew of Methuen, William Caron and his wife Sara of Londonderry, NH, Timothy Caron and his companion Sharon Lavalley of Chester, NH and Susan DiGloria and her husband John of Methuen, MA.
Grandchildren Lauri Doody and her husband Tim of Baltimore, MD, James D'Agostino of Miami, FL, Amy Caron of Los Angeles, CA, Taylor and Krista DiGloria both of Methuen, Christopher, Sean and Elisabeth all of Londonderry, NH.
One great-grandson Ryan. Barbara also leaves her close friend Alma Long of North Andover, MA.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to the Activities Fund at Academy Manor 89 Morton Street Andover, MA 01810. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
