W. Bruce Davis, of Plymouth, passed away on December 10th at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 64. The beloved husband of Carmen (Lopes), he is also survived by his sons Jonathan “Brad” Davis and his wife Heather of Malden and Jason Davis of Plymouth. He also leaves his sister Delia Camille Greene of Richmond, VA and his cherished grandson Maxwell Bruce Davis.
Bruce was born in Richmond, VA and received his Undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and attended George Washington University for his Masters Degree. He owned Vessel Documentation Service and was a member of the American Vessel Documentation Association and the Mackenzie Boat Club. He was an award winning artist focusing on sculpture and enjoyed gardening.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14th at the First Parish Unitarian Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Monday, December 13th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute – Division of Development and the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place W. Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
