Stella F. (Filipiak) Jaques of Reading passed away on Monday, December 22, 2003 at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Wilmington. She was 79 years of age.
Born in Chelsea, Stella was the daughter of Walter and Michelina Filipiak. She was a longtime resident of Reading. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all.
Stella had an unparalleled love for her family. She was a devoted grandmother. A devout Catholic, Stella was very active in St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed caring for the elderly. She had a passion for travel and loved to fly with her husband William. She was known as the “navigator.”
Stella was the beloved wife of the late William D. Jaques. She was the devoted mother of Robert R. Jaques and his wife Donna of San Francisco, Diane Jaques and her husband Joseph Chiu of Concord, Carol Jaques and her husband David DiCicco. Stella was the cherished grandmother of Kristen and Jennifer Jaques, Ryan and Elizabeth Chiu, Dawn and Kelly DiCicco and the dear sister of the late Jessie White and Stephen Filipiak.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 3-7pm. Parking available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
