Irene L. Myles, 87, passed away on December 9th, 2010 at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody. Irene was born in Biddeford, Maine to her parents Moses P. and Rose (Carreau) Roy. She was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire and is a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1940. She served her country with distinction as a member of the United States Navy Waves during World War II. She has been a resident of Malden for over 60 years. Irene spent many years working as a secretary at the Charles D. Kelley Law Firm in Malden. After her retirement, Irene and her husband Lee spent the winter months in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Lee T. Myles; the mother of Thomas Myles of Chicago, Illinois, Bonney Myles of Beverly, Peter Myles and his wife Irene of Malden and William Myles and his wife Eleanor of Georgetown; the grandmother of Donald, Sarah, Kevin, Melissa and Joseph; the great grandmother of Gabriel and Lila; and the sister of Armand Roy of Manchester, New Hampshire and the late Earl Roy. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday December 13th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday December 12th from 2-6 PM.
