Obituary

Rufus Maury Clark, 71, of Orchard Lane, Mystic, died December 21. He lived well for five years with pancreatic cancer.

He was born February 8, 1932 in New London, CT. He was the son of the late Rufus M. Clark and Jeannette Nichols Clark. He graduated from Fitch High School in the class of 1950.

Rufus spent 23 y ears as a pilot in the Air Force retiring as Major. He served in Vietnam and flew many different planes throughout the world.

He founded several small businesses, the most recent being Orion Technology. After retirement he kept very active sailing and flying his own plane.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Krogseng) Clark at home, his sons Kevin M. Clark of Mystic and Jonathon P. Clark of Hancock, Michigan, his granddaughter Angela Clark Hunstiger of Fort Collins, Colorado, his brother Reginald Clark of Verdi, Nevada, and his first wife, Gloria Silva Clark.

There will be a memorial service to be announced in January.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Dr. Douglas B. Evans, The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Dept. of Surgical Oncology, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Box 106, Houston, TX 77030.
