Obituary

Dilbon Mobley, 88, of Ocilla, Georgia died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Irwin County Hospital.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Sunday, December 12 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Elder Paul Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until the funeral hour at the funeral home in Ocilla.

Mr. Mobley was born May 15, 1922 in Berrien County to the late John and Alice Brogdon Mobley. He lived in Ocilla for the past year from Marietta where he lived for 40 years. Mr. Mobley was a retired chief dispatcher for CSX Railroad. He was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta and the Toastmaster Club. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by a niece: Twala & Rev. Howard Alford of Perry, GA and West Virginia; nephew: Gary & Jo Tucker of Marietta; Grand niece: Robin Spires of New Port Richey, FL and a grand nephew: Jeffrey Tucker of Marietta. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Ligon Mobley.
