Obituary

Arnold A. Sacco, Sr., of Stoneham, died Wednesday at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester. He was 83.

Arnold was raised in East Boston and Medford, the son of the late Angelo and Rose (Storella) Sacco. He served in the Army at the End of World War II and re-enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked at Walnut Hill Auto Body in Somerville before taking a position with Polaroid, where he worked until he retired. He was a devoted family man who always had a kind word for everyone. He enjoyed time on the Cape at Mashpee with his family and lived 8 years there in his retirement.


He was a loving husband to Marie (Lore) Sacco with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Arnold Sacco and his wife Anita of Stoneham, Walter Sacco and his wife Christine of Stoneham, David Sacco and his wife Christine of Hudson. Arnold is also lovingly survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also a loving grandfather to the late Jessica Sacco and a dear brother to Walter Sacco of Medford and the late Emanuel Sacco.

His funeral procession will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, December 11th at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home Friday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
