Elizabeth Magdon, Peckville, died Monday in the VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center. Her husband is Michael E. Mag- don Jr.
Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Swierczek Ben-eski, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School. Before retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper with the Rinaldi and Poveromo Law Firm, Scranton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Peckville.
Also surviving are a son, Michael E. III and wife, Natalie, Olyphant; three daughters, Susan and husband, Charles Pagano, Dickson City; Michele and husband, Jim Fyrster, Mechanicsburg; and Paula Sweikert, Halifax; six grandsons, Max and Jake Fyrster, Matthew and Jacob Magdon and Nicholas and Daniel Sweikert; and three brothers, Tony Nickras, Frank Beneski and Michael Beneski.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Lynn; a brother, Kelly Beneski; and two sisters, Florence Kortyka and Theresa Nesevitch.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Peckville. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Blakely.
