Shane Louis Brown-Congdon, age 57, passed away Sunday.
He was born in Westerly on October 20, 1953 the son of the late George Kenneth Brown Congdon and Gloria M. (Lombard) Gray of Groton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his twin sister, Gina L. Brown-Congdon of Mashantucket; another sister, Gail M. Rokotiubea and her husband Koroi of the Fiji Islands, 3 nephews, 3 nieces and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth L. Brown-Congdon and Gilbert A. Brown.
Shane was an elder of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. He also served as a lay minister and was a lover of the arts, particularly music and dance.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 190 Flanders Rd, Mystic on Saturday at 10am. His family will gather privately for his burial at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Burial Ground.
