David J. Papazian

TEWKSBURY - David J. Papazian, age 76, a resident of Tewksbury and communicant of St. Dorothy's Church in Wilmington for the past three decades, died Monday, December 6, at the Lowell General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Elaine C. Papazian, who died Dec. 1, 2004.
He was born in Warwick, Rhode Island, on November 16, 1934, a son of the late Sarkis and Patricia (Turner) Papazian. He was raised in Warwick, and lived in Franklin, MA, before moving to Tewksbury in 1977.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed as a Purchasing Manager at Honeywell in Billerica,MA, during his working career.
He was an avid golfer, a member of the Atkinson Country Club in NH, and a fan of all New England professional sports teams.
He is survived by four children, Lisa Miller and her husband Jeffrey of Hudson, MA; David J. Papazian Jr. and his wife Carrie of Framingham; Derek Papazian of Medford, and Ryan Papazian, Lcpl. of the USMC, of Tewksbury and three grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Megan Miller, and Sophie Papazian; a brother, Herbert Papazian and his wife Carmen of NH, a sister, Patricia Papazian of RI; his mother-in-law, Angelina Pastorello of Tewksbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Arthur Papazian.
His Funeral Mass was held Friday, Dec 10, in St. Dorothy's Church, Wilmington. Burial with Army Honors followed at Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the Dana-Farber "Jimmy Fund," 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445, will be appreciated.
