Bennett, Hazel (Shaw) of Jamaica Plain on December 3, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Bennett.Hazel Bennett was born September 9th, 1920 and lived an amazing life filled with strength, love and the gift of generosity. She willingly raised three generations of her children instilling in them the morals and values that she lived by. She travelled this wonderful country by car, rail and plane enjoying the company of her friends and the beautiful sights that she discovered always giving honor to God for his beautiful earth. I believe that the greatest compliment ever given to our grandmother was that she was aging gracefully. Granny was incredibly proud of the fact that she had reached the glorious age of ninety years and with the excitement and celebration of this accomplishment, her health began to fail.
On December 3rd, 2010 at somewhere between 7:40-7:50 p.m., Granny took her last breath. Upon her departure from this life, she passed peacefully to the next. She was surrounded by her family and the quiet that she needed for the passage to her final destination, heaven. She leaves behind her devoted grand-daughter and grand-son, Angela and Gerald Gordon and their children, her great-grandchildren Lois, Gerald Jr., Milton and Lena Gordon of Jamaica Plain, Mass. Granny also leaves her grand-son Clarence E. Perkins, III of Lexington, Ky. and his three children Jueles, Frances and Clarence E. Perkins IV of Los Angeles, Ca. Her loving sister Jessie Crosby of Pemberton, N.J. and her children, nieces Shirlee Howard of Cocoa Beach, Fl, Hazel Mathis of Pemberton, N.J. and nephew Walter Todd of Meritt Island, Fl as well as a host of many relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
