Obituary

WORCESTER-Constance R. (Houston) Moynihan, 92, of Worcester, died Saturday, December 4th in the Golden Living Center-The Hermitage. Her husband of 58 years, Edward J. Moynihan, Sr., died in 1999. She leaves her son, Edward J. Moynihan, Jr. of Vernon, CT; her daughter, Ann M. Kennedy and her husband Thomas of Auburn; her brother, William Houston of Denver, CO; her sister, Shirley Guimond of Spencer; nine grandchildren, Edward L. Moynihan of Worcester, Michael S. Moynihan of East Hartford, CT, Colleen A. Swart of Willington, CT, Corrine J. MacFarlane of Mansfield, CT and Kathleen M. Spielman of Somers, CT and their mother, Lorraine J. Moynihan of Fuguay Varina, NC, Thomas J. Kennedy, Jr. of Millbury, Brian C. Kennedy, Edward J. Kennedy and Erin M. Froio, all of Auburn; 21 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Moynihan was born in Worcester, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Beswick) Houston. She was a graduate of South High School. Mrs. Moynihan was a sales clerk at Filene’s for over 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Mrs. Moynihan was an avid Patriots and Holy Cross College football fan.
The funeral is Tuesday, December 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603 or to the charity of the donors choice.
