Constance “Connie” Caruso, 89 of Somerville, died Thursday after a brief illness in the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, MA.
Born in Boston, she lived in Somerville for the past 50 years and formerly of the West End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Margaret (D'Amico) and Nunzio Bonaccorso.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph “Bepo” Caruso. Devoted mother of Nelson J. Caruso and his wife Sylvia of Peabody, Virginia Caruso Bove of Belmont, Maria Caruso of Malden, Margaret Caruso Wilson and her husband George of Wakefield. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 loving great grandsons. Sister of Domenic Bonaccorso of Cape Cod, Salvatore “Buffy” Bonaccorso of LA, Josephine Fiore of Winchester, Rose Fiorello of Medford and the late Ida Bellissimo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
