Obituary

Charles F. Luchetti, 82, of Dartmouth died December 20, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

He was the husband of Alma (Grace) Luchetti and son of the late Carlo and Carola (Pallatroni) Luchetti.

Mr. Luchetti was born in Milford, MA and lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth most of his life, he wintered in Jupiter, Fl for 15 years.

He was formerly employed by the New Bedford School System for many years before retiring as Housemaster from New Bedford High School. He was a baseball coach at New Bedford High School.

Mr. Luchetti served in the US Navy during World War II and was the recipient of the American Area Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with 1 star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Charles F. Luchetti, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of West Bridgewater; 3 daughters, Patricia Luchetti and Caryn Luchetti, both of Rockland, Maine, and Claudia Luchetti of Searsmont, Maine; 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Gabriel.

He was the brother of the late Paul Luchetti, Daniel Luchetti, Renata Luchetti, Dena Smith, Eleanor Hines and Caroline King.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday, December 22nd from 6-8 PM.

His Funeral Mass in St. Lawrence Church and burial in St. Mary's Cemetery will be private.
