Samuel Monsour of West Roxbury passed away on December 2, 2010. He was 96 years old.
Born in Boston, Samuel was a graduate of English High School. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII before working for over 30 years as a custodian in the Boston Public Schools. Samuel loved spending time with his family and he loved the Boston Red Sox.
Samuel was the loving father of Debra Jones of Georgetown, Lynne Long of South Boston and Karen Potts of South Boston. Dear brother of Lillian Chalmers of Watertown. Beloved Grandfather, “Papa” of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear uncle of Joyce and David Chalmers of Watertown and Dick Dale of CA.
A prayer service will be held at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Monday, December 6, 2010 at 5 pm followed by visiting hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Attendant parking available.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Samuel’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
Interment will be private.
