Francis P. Spillar of Olyphant died Wednesday in the AseraCare Hospice at Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville.
Born in Olyphant, son of the late Paul J. and Mary M. Gruzdzlovitch, he was employed with Daystrom Industries, Archbald, before retirement, and was a military veteran. He was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Parish.
Surviving are two sisters, Violet Spillar, Olyphant; and Mary and husband, Frank P. Mroczka, Jermyn; two nieces, Marie and husband, Mark Dinunzio, Lansdale; and Carole and husband, Frank C. Mroczka, Virginia Beach; a nephew, attorney Frank and wife, Donna Mroczka, Dunmore; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Paul J. Spillar Jr.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery, Olyphant.
