MANCHESTER-George Descheneaux, 85, died December 1, 2010 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on July 9, 1925 the son of Wilfred and Virginie (Gregoire) Descheneaux and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for J.F. McElwain Shoe Co.
He had been a member of the League of the Sacred Heart of St. Augustin Parish. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots.
He was predeceased by his wife Stella (Petrin) Descheneaux on July 25, 2009.
Members of his family include one sister Pauline Demers of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM in the funeral. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery.
