Louise Merritt Carver, Ambrose, GA, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Carver and son, Alvin Carver. She was born on February 27, 1922 to the late Walter and Minnie Vickers Merritt. She was a homemaker and a member of Bushnel Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Trinity Non Denominational Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in the Griffin Cemetery. Survivors include: daughters: Kathie (Marvin) Key, Douglas, GA; Linda (Irwin) Brown, Ambrose, GA; sons: Tillman (Clara) Carver, Jacksonville, FL, Curtis (Debbie) Carver, Madison, GA, Earl (Jane) Carver, J. W. (Myra) Carver, Ashley (Sherry) Carver and Kenny Carver all of Ambrose, GA; sisters: Eunice English, Douglas, GA, Elizabeth Hand, Gainesville, Ga, Dorothy Hancock, Nashville, GA; brother: Roy Merritt, Ambrose, GA; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
