Linda S. Miller age 63 of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 5:17am Friday Nov. 26, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 17, 1947 in Hartville, Missouri to Thomas B. and Janet C. (Lynch) Wood. She married Roger A. Miller August 13, 1966 in Peoria. He survives.
Surviving are her children Keith Miller, Lysa (Mark) Scheirer, Brandon Miller, and Shannon Miller all of Metamora. Grandchildren; Jordan, Shelby, Nathan, Taylor, Jodie, and Ramona. Also surviving are two sisters Mary Aliece (Randy) Damron of Kickapoo, Il and Tracie (Barry) Combs of Travelers Rest, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a homemaker and a member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church.
Family was extremely important to Linda. She was particularly proud of her grandchildren. Linda was a excellent cook and especially enjoyed the cookie sessions with her granddaughters. Her creativity, artistic ability, and enthusiasm made every occasion special. She was a selfless person who always put others needs before her own.
She enjoyed taking many vacations with her husband and family, especially these to Disney World. She had a love of nature and cared for a variety of animals during her life.
She will continue to be forever present in the lives of those she loved and loved through the memories she has created.
Funeral services will be at 10:30am Saturday Dec. 4, 2010 at Willow Hill United Methodist Church. Reverend Ken Hogren officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm Friday at the Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Metamora. A family luncheon will follow graveside services at the
