Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Morrison, 78, of Ashland, MA & Biddeford, ME, formerly of Sherborn, MA died unexpectedly on October 13, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Gordon M. Morrison, Jr. with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, the daughter of the late Philip Leighton Lee & Elisabeth Warren Lee, Mrs. Morrison was raised in Rosemont, PA & attended the Haverford Friends School in Haverford, PA, The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, PA & was a 1950 graduate of The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY & 1954 graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, MA. She dedicated her life to caring for her husband & family. Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Junior League of Boston & the Wheaton College Club of Wellesley. She was a resident of Sherborn, MA for 32 years, Ashland, MA for 14 years, & a longtime summer resident of Fortunes Rocks, ME & Camden, ME. Mrs. Morrison was an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Sherborn, MA since 1972 & served on a wide variety of committees & as a deaconess.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morrison is survived by her children, Leighton Morrison of Millis & Faith Carlson & her husband Kyle of Hopkinton; & 5 grandchildren, Kaleigh, Camden, Mackay, Kelsey, & Brandon. She was also the mother of the late Lee Brett & sister of the late Elisabeth Sallada.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Pilgrim Congregational Church, 25 South Main St. Sherborn, MA.
