Obituary

Jo-Ann M. (Armata) Becker, 60, of Natick died Sunday, October 31st, 2010 with her family at her side after a long illness.

Born and raised in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Dorothy (Bertine) Armata. She is survived by her beloved son Jason Becker and his wife Jennifer, of Natick, and was the proud and devoted grandmother to Alec, Aaron and Andrew Becker. She is also survived by her sister, Kristin McNally and her husband Robert “Lou” McNally, her brother Giacomo “Jack” Armata and his wife Deborah, and her brother Anthony Armata and his wife Judith. Jo-Ann also leaves her nieces and nephews; Marisa McNally, Christopher McNally, Taryne Armata, Antonio Armata, Kristen Armata and Timothy Armata.

Born on April 19th, 1950, Jo-Ann was a life-long resident of Natick and an employee of Middlesex Savings Bank for over 42 years in a variety of capacities. She was a dedicated member and volunteer of many organizations including the Friends of the Fourth of July, The New England Revolution "Revs Brigade", Treasurer for Kids Connect, St. Patrick's Parish Hospitality Committee, Natick's Relay for Life, The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation 5k Road Race and the Natick Sons of Italy. Many will remember Jo-Ann’s devotion to those around her, her generous and thoughtful nature and of course, her cakes and desserts! She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Calling hours are from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, November 3rd at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, Nov. 4th at 11:30am at St. Patrick’s Church, Natick. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable donation to Natick’s Friends of the Fourth of July, Inc. P.O. Box 27, Natick, MA, 01760.
