Edward Joseph Slamin 73, of Natick died Wednesday November 3 2010 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Edward C. and Dorothea (Roache) Slamin.
Known in the downtown area as “Mr. Natick”, Ed loved the town, and every day stayed informed on all the local events, people and sports.
He was an avid Red Sox fan and was a loyal Natick High School sports fan especially football and hockey.
He is survived by two sisters Joan Heaney of Natick, Diane Danforth of Yarmouth, four brothers Richard Slamin of Marlborough, David Slamin and Stephen Slamin both of Natick and William Slamin of Framingham, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 11:30 A.M.
Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
