Obituary

Francis Arthur Mailhiot, Jr., 75, of Hull & formerly of Natick, passed away in his home on November 16, 2010 in the loving care of his beloved wife Irene D. (Poisson) Mailhiot with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.



Born in Natick, the son of the late Francis A. Mailhiot, Sr. & Mary (Bell) Mailhiot, Mr. Mailhiot was raised & educated in Natick. He was a graduate of Natick High School - Class of 1954 where he received the school's Chemistry Award. Mr. Mailhiot served honorably with the United States Army National Guard - 26th Quartermaster Company of Framingham for 9 years. He was the 2nd generation owner & operator of the Natick Sheet Metal Company, Inc. Mr. Mailhiot previously served as an advisor to the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough & was a life member of the Natick Elks & Kiwanis. He enjoyed bicycling, reading, gardening, & following the political "scene". Mr. Mailhiot was also quite fond of the Sealyham dog breed of which he & his wife had numerous faithful companions.



Mr. Mailhiot was the brother of Philip Mailhiot, Frances Fay, & Alice Querios & is survived by several nieces & nephews.



Relatives & friends are cordially invited to a memorial gathering on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 5-7 PM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK. A graveside burial service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:30 PM in the Hull Village Cemetery, Nantasket Ave. Hull.
