West Bridgewater – Lillian B. Coady passed away peacefully on November 25 at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 14, 1919 in Boston she was the daughter of the late John P. and Marion A. (Purcell) Coady. Lil lived with her parents in Boston, attended school there and was part of a large extended family including grandmothers and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
As a young woman she loved music and took singing lessons for many years. She participated in many Cerebral Palsy activities and attended Camp Jabberwocky on Martha’s Vineyard.
Lillian had also lived in West Roxbury, Halifax, and West Bridgewater. With the help of aids, she was able to live independently in Bridgewater and East Bridgewater. Her final years were spent with loving care at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater.
She will always be remembered for her sunny disposition, her wonderful jokes, her zest for life, and for her love of people.
We will all miss “Aunt Lil”.
She is survived by her devoted sisters Jean M. Lane of Plymouth and Joan A. Bergman and her husband Robert of Santa Rosa, CA. She was dearly loved by her nine nieces and nephews Kathleen Inzalaco and her husband Frank, Christine Lane, Erin Allard and her husband Paul, Leo Lane and his wife Kara, Maureen Lane, Sean Lane and his wife Amy all of Massachusetts, and Andrew Bergman, Bryan Bergman and Jill Sieberlich and her husband Mark all of California. She is also survived by her nine great nieces and nephews Paul, Connor and Meghan Allard, Nicholas and Christopher Inzalaco, Lily and Matthew Sieberlich, and Sophia and Stella Lane all of whom adored her. She was the sister-in-law of the late David Lane.
Her funeral mass will be held Friday December 3 at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 575 Monponsett Street, Halifax. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Halifax.
