WEBSTER - Louise G. (Jackel) Cyr, 89, formerly of Golden Heights, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard. Her husband of 64 years, Bernard J. Cyr, died in 2004.
She leaves a son, Bernard P. Cyr and his wife Carol of Dudley; a granddaughter, Kelly A. Cyr and her fiancé John Scarlett of Sutton; a brother, Walter Jackel of Webster; 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Marrier of Webster, Charlotte Galvin of Thompson, CT and Dorothy Jackel of Glen, NH; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Gussie Jackel, Emma Snow and Esther Wood, and by a brother, Paul Jackel.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of Max and Augusta (Schur) Jackel and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Cyr was a quality control inspector at Webster Lens Company for 43 years, retiring in 1986.
She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 1, at 1:00 PM in Zion Lutheran Church, 70 South Main Street, Oxford. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street. Webster.
