Rita M. Cazeault, 92, formerly of Rathbun St., Blackstone, died Sunday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Victor H. Cazeault.
Born in Blackstone, she was a daughter of the late Aime and Emilia (Bouley) Remillard. She was a lifelong resident of Blackstone.
Mrs. Cazeault was employed by Jacob Finklestien Company for many years before retiring. Prior to that she was a dedicated homemaker.
Rita was a member of the St. Theresa’s Seniors club, the St. Theresa’s Council of the Ladies of St. Anne, and the Royal Travelers. She had a special talent for knitting and sewing and enjoyed playing bingo. Rita was an avid flower gardener and loved to make her own flower arrangements.
Rita’s life revolved around her family and she loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Cazeault of Millville, Therese Cournoyer of Smithfield, and Denise Benoit of Burrillville. She was the mother of the late Herve Cazeault and sister of the late Florence Lombardo. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathbun St. Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday (TODAY) from 4-7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Odyssey HealthCare of RI, 2374 Post Rd.
