Lorenzal Harper, 73, of Wray, Georgia died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 29, 2010 at Holt Baptist Church with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in Holt Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Harper was born February 16, 1937 in Irwin County to the late Elisha and Dessie Allen Harper. He was a graduate of Irwin County High School and retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Harper served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Holt Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Gonzales Harper of Irwin County; Children: Dickey and Sherri Harper of Cabot, Arkansas, Talmage E. and Kelly Walker of Kingsland, GA, Danny Joe and Velina Harper of Ocilla, Billy and Debra Walker of Summerville, S.C., Allen B. Walker of Kingsland, GA, David Harper of Ocilla, Sherri Harper Mason of Beebe, Arkansas, Jackie and Tony Harper of Fitzgerald, David G. Walker of Kingsland, Luckie L. Walker of Perry, GA and Libby Harper Sexton of Austin, Arkansas; 29 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; Brothers: Charles Harper, Ronald Harper and Vernon Harper, all of Ocilla; Sisters: Aline Leverett of Ocilla, Alicia Harper of Fitzgerald, Annie Margaret Raily of Fitzgerald and Mary Zane Forbis of North Carolina. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
