Obituary

Bernadette Louise (Finnegan) (Abbott) Rhyno, 96 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, died Wednesday evening Nov. 24 at JML Care Center in Falmouth,MA.
She was born on March 25, 1914 in Lowell, MA and was a daughter of the late Michael and Eliza (Murphy) Finnegan and sister to the late Madeline Thompson and the late Sara LaPierre.
Bernadette was married twice, first to the late William Abbott with whom she had 3 children and later to the late Reginald Rhyno with whom she had two children. Her survivors include a daughter, Cynthia (Abbott) Macca and her husband John of Amagansett NY and Hobe Sound FL. and their two sons Jon Macca of Toronto, Ontario and Darren Macca of Longmont, CO.; and her daughter Melissa (Macca) Maur and her husband Sylvain of Brooklyn, NY; also survived by her granddaughter Kara Ryan of Falmouth, MA, daughter of the late Bonnie Abbott. Bernadette was also predeceased by her daughter Nancy (Abbott) Bombadier and her son Jeffrey.
She is also survived by her daughter Deborah (Rhyno) Albert and her husband George of No. Falmouth and their five children, Karl Albert and his wife Angela and their daughter Chloe of Norwood, MA; Kelly (Albert) West and her husband Paul of Nantucket and their 3 children, Mallory, Maeve and Max; Tiffany (Albert) McCarthy and her husband Ian of St. John, New Brunswick and their 2 sons Payton and Connor; Bethany Albert of No. Falmouth; Mathew Albert and his wife Melissa of Sandwich, MA; Bernadette’s son Michael Rhyno and his wife Bonnie of Wellington, FL and his children, Eric Rhyno and his wife Susan of Greenback, TN, their sons Brandon and Brian and his daughter Heather (Rhyno) Mejia and her husband Jeffrey of Coral Springs, FL.
Bernadette was retired from Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA where she was a secretary in the Operating Room for over 20 years. She was an avid dancer and was a past president of AARP. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bernadette will be missed by all who knew her.
RHYNO- Relatives and friends may call on Monday Nov. 29 from 9 until 10:30 AM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. (Rte.38), LOWELL. Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church (Lower Church) followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LOWELL
