Mr. J. Phillip “Phil” Buck, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Mr. James Phillip “Phil” Buck, Sr., 62, beloved husband of Mrs. Shirley Roberson Buck entered into rest on Thursday, November 25, 2010.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. David Stockton officiating.
Phil was a 1968 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. He was also a member of American Legion Post 205 and served as former Post Commander of SAL. Phil loved racing and was a champion motorcycle racer.
In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by his son, J. Phillip Buck, Jr. of Appling; his daughter, Stefanie Basinger (Todd) of Martinez; his two step-sons, Alex Everett of Martinez and Jim Everett (Bobbie) of Martinez; his sister, Gail Jean Lowry (Rickey) of Harlem; his six grandsons, five granddaughters, two nieces, and many extended family members.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents William Oliver and Bertie Hand Buck and also by his stepson Scott Everett.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Buck, William Rabb, Andrew Rabb, Rickey Lowry, Jamey Moss, and Todd Basinger.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, November 28, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
