Obituary

ROCKINGHAM: Mrs. Sally Holliday Lammonds, 69, of 7 Short St., Rockingham, died Thursday, November 25 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, November 28 in the Cordova Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Monroe and Rev. Landis Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

Sally was born in Beckley, West Virginia on May 5, 1941 to Wilda Garten Holliday and the late Theodore Holliday. She had worked as a waitress, but was primarily a homemaker as well as a member of Cordova Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lammonds; her mother, Wilda Holliday of New Kent, VA; two sons, Ronald 'Bud' Butler, Jr. of Hanover Courthouse, VA, Mike Butler of Rockingham; two daughters, Brenda Richart of Quinton, VA, Tracy Akers of Ashland, VA; stepdaughter, Paula Bost of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Teddy Holliday of Midlothian, VA, Tommy Holliday of Branchville, VA; a sister, Alice Kuester of New Kent, VA; and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5-8:00 PM at Russell-Marks Funeral Home, and at other times at 115 Luther St., Rockingham.
