Obituary

Clifford L. Mann, 80, passed away on November 24th, 2010 at the Emerson Village Nursing Home in Watertown. He was born in Boston on April 16th, 1930 to his parents Lincoln and Katherine (MacDonald) Mann. Clifford was raised and educated in Dorchester and received his Bachelors Degree from Northeastern University. He lived in Somerville for a short time and has been a resident of Medford since 1969. As a young man, he began his career as a Draftsman for the Badger Corporation in Cambridge which was later purchased by the Raytheon Corporation. Clifford remained with Raytheon and retired after more than 35 years with the company. He was a hobbyist who enjoyed making detailed model airplanes and ships out of wood and other materials. He took great pride in making special toys such as trains and wood blocks for his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Clifford L. “Cliffie” Mann Jr. and his wife Michele of Chelmsford and Theresa “Terri” Yaeger and her husband Peter of Natick; and by his grandchildren, Matthew and Jason Yaeger and Justin, Christian & Katelyn Mann. Clifford was predeceased by his wife Evelyn T. (Grover) Mann. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday November 29th at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 28th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
