Elia “Helen” Ricci, 91, formerly of Meridan Street, Providence, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the widow of Albert L. Ricci, Sr. with whom she was a co-owner of the former Better Bake Shop.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Santina (Ciccone) Renzi. She had lived in Providence for over 60 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Judith Beer of Warwick, Eugene Ricci of Greenville, David Ricci of North Providence, her siblings: Laura Green of Cranston and Angelo Renzi of Warwick, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Albert L. Ricci, Jr. and sister of the late Gesmondi and Alfred Renzi, Mary Pezzullo and Flora Croft-Rodgers.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial private. Visitation Tuesday morning 8-9am.
