Glover, Lois Yvonne (Bohler), 71, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lois was born in Cloverport, Ky. on June 26, 1939 to Ernest and Mildred Bohler (deceased). She loved the Lord, her family, friends, her pets, and was a huge U of L fan.
Lois was a Regional Sales Manager for the Department of Parks in Tourism where she retired in 2004.
For 20 years, Lois was Volunteer Director of Women’s Leagues in the USSSA Slo-Pitch Softball Association. She also doubled as National Coordinator from 1973 to 1979, and is in the USSSA Softball Hall of Fame.
Lois played in the Summer National Sr. Games where her team (KY Fillies) won the gold Medal in 2007 and 2009 for 60+ female slo-pitch softball.
Lois was a 1957 graduate of Valley High School, a member of Meeting Professionals International, and a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Bobby Bohler (Adeline); her sister, Wanda Lobred (Johnny); three nieces, Jamie Curtis (Mark), April Brown (Ken) and Allison Bohler; one nephew, Frank Allen Glover, Jr. (Shannon); great nieces and nephews include Sean, Mark Lee, Emma, Elle, Beau, Megan, Frank Allen, III, Isabella, Sophia and Victoria.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday.
