Florio of Plymouth, formerly of Brockton, December 17, 2003, Robert F. Florio. Longtime companion of Betty Dugan. Father of Steven J., Nancy C. Smith, Lawrence J., and Annie M. Florio all of Brockton and Robert M. Florio of Mansfield.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday at 10 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8pm.

Obituary Information

Robert F. Florio died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Robert M. and Anna V. (Marcinkevich) Florio. He attended Brockton schools and had been employed by the City of Brockton Sanitation Department, Avon Sole Company and had been a supervisor at Superior Bakery. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by three sons, Steven J. Florio and Lawrence J. Florio both of Brockton and Robert M. Florio of Mansfield, two daughters Nancy C. Smith and Annie M. Florio both of Brockton, four grandchildren, one brother Kenneth Florio of New York and one sister Janet Swift of North Easton, several nieces and nephews, his longtime companion Betty Dugan of Plymouth and former wife Hyacinth E. Connors of Brockton. He was the brother of the late Richard R. Florio.
