Obituary

GROTON: Dorothy M. (Rogers) Dunn, age 75, a resident of Groton for the past 8 years, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Genesis Westford House.
She was the beloved wife of Patrick L. Dunn, who passed away on August 15, 2002.
Born in Boston on November 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Irene (Woods) Rogers.
Dorothy was raised in Wilmington, attended Wilmington schools and graduated from Wilmington High School. Following graduation, she attended and later graduated from Salem State College.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an assembler by Vicor Corporation in Andover for 17 years. In her early years, she worked for the Wilmington School Department as a substitute teacher. Dorothy was most recently employed as a cashier at the Target Dept. Store in Salem, NH.
Mrs. Dunn resided in Wilmington and Lawrence until moving to Groton in 2002.
She enjoyed vacationing with her family at Idle Times Campground in Washington, NH and at Sandy Beach in Contoocook, NH.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Timothy P. Dunn of Tyngsboro and Richard E. Dunn of Somerville; three daughters, Laurie M. Martin of Hudson, NH, Patricia A. O'Driscoll and her husband Robert of Townsend and Deborah J. Spinney and her husband Donny of Amesbury; six grandchildren, Felicia Dunn, Bentley, Tyler and Kaitlyn Martin, Patrick Benoit and his wife Meghan (Smith), Jessie (Benoit) Stacy and her husband Andrew; her dear friends, Jeanne and Chuck Reinbolt of Salem, NH and Julie Harrison of Nashua, NH; her in-laws; Gene and Noreen Dunn of Woburn, Gail and Barbara Dunn of Derry, NH, Pearle and Ralph Cartee of Winchendon, and Marion and William Tardiff of Leominster; also many beloved nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was the sister of the late Irene Rogers and Walter Rogers, the mother-in-law of the late Wendy Noble, and sister-in-law of the late Joseph Dunn, William Dunn, Kay Ralston, Ruthie McLean, and Marie Mason.
Calling hours Friday, Nov. 26, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Dorothys Church, Main St., Rte. 38, Wilmington. Following cremation, interment will be at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lowell General Hospital, Attn: Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
