Obituary

Worcester – Roberta A. Spencer, 61, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Monday, November 22nd in her home.

Roberta is survived by her mother Marguerite (Mullaney) Spencer; a brother Kevin Spencer; two sisters Christine LaPlume and Shirley Mandella all of Worcester. She also leaves behind several nephews and nieces which she loved and adored.

Ms. Spencer was born in Worcester daughter of the late Robert O. Spencer and graduated from the David Fanning Girls Trade High School.

She was a supervisor in the receiving department of McKesson Pharmaceuticals for 35 years. Roberta was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and enjoyed quilting and volunteering her time with the Special Olympics.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 24th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1290 Grafton St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home on Wednesday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Special Olympics c/o South High School Attn: Debbie Tyborowski 170 Apricot St. Worcester, MA 01603.
