Jeanne M. Martin, 89, formerly of School St. Albion, died Sunday at Mt. St. Francis Health Care Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Louis P. Martin.
Born in Albion she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Clara (Lusignan) Robidoux. She was a lifelong resident of Albion.
Mrs. Martin worked as a supervisor for American Tourister and also at Berkshire Hathaway before retiring.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Golden Agers, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Albion Social Club and the Holy Family Christian Group. Jeanne enjoyed knitting, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Donald R. Martin, and his wife Rita, of Albion. She was the mother of the late Robert C. Martin. She was the sister of Cecile Lauzon of Albion, and Martha Cote of North Smithfield, and the late Joseph, David, Roger, Fernand, Antoine, Gerald, and Robert Robidoux. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Saturday at 7:45 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, School St. Albion. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8 pm.
